A practical theology of "be separate from the world" has made public relations a most difficult function to embrace. For some, having a public relations system just feels secular, worldly, and self-promoting. Can one declare that public relations serves as a basic part of God's redemptive plan? Has Jesus worked on this function since the fall? Does the DNA of the church contain basic essences of public relations? Is it enough to consider it a vital system of the church? The answers revealed in the Old and New Testaments as well as church history are a resounding “YES.” God continually communicated His redemptive plan and redemptive events both to His people and to the peoples of the world throughout history. This function clarifies the reasons and the methods God uses to communicate his plan of redemption through the ages.
